Single and double beam bridge crane is a lifting equipment that is horizontally erected above workshops, warehouses, and material yards for material lifting. Due to its two ends resting on tall cement columns or metal supports, it has a bridge like shape. The bridge of the overhead crane runs longitudinally along the tracks laid on both sides of the elevated structure, making full use of the space below the bridge to lift materials without being obstructed by ground equipment.

Daily maintenance of single and double beam bridge crane
(1) Exterior of bridge crane: Thoroughly clean the exterior to ensure no dust accumulation or yellowing. Check for cracks and open welds.
(2) Large and small vehicles: ① Check and tighten the transmission shaft seat, gearbox, coupling, and whether the shaft and key are loose; ② Check and adjust the brake wheel clearance to make it uniform, sensitive, and reliable.
(3) Check the reducer of the bridge crane mainly to see if it leaks oil. If there is any abnormal noise inside the box during operation, the box cover should be opened for inspection. It is usually caused by bearing damage, excessive gear backlash, severe tooth wear, and other reasons.
(4) Lifting winch: ① Check whether the wire rope, hook, and pulley are safe and reliable. If the wear exceeds the specified value, they should be replaced. ② Check and adjust the brake to make it safe, sensitive, and reliable.
(5) Inspection of steel wire rope for bridge crane. Commonly used varieties include phosphating coated steel wire rope, galvanized steel wire rope, and smooth steel wire rope. When inspecting the steel wire rope, special attention should be paid to observing the situation of broken wires, wear, twisting, rust, etc. For certain positions with severe wear and breakage but not exceeding the standard, marks should be made for key tracking and re inspection. Pay attention to checking whether the safety limiter of the steel wire rope in the drum is effective, whether the steel wire rope pressure plate on the drum is tightly pressed, and whether the number of pressure plates is appropriate.
(6) Lubrication: Check the oil quality and quantity of all parts, and add or replace lubricating oil as required.
(7) Inspection of the pulleys of the bridge crane. The focus is on whether the wear at the bottom of the groove exceeds the standard and whether there are cracks in the cast iron pulley. For the balance wheel of the pulley system of the tilting mechanism, it is easy to be ignored because it does not move under normal circumstances. So, before installation, it is necessary to check the flexibility of its rotation. Otherwise, the length and tension of the left and right steel wire ropes cannot be automatically adjusted by the balance wheel during installation, which increases the difficulty and danger of adjusting the ropes at high altitude.
(8) Electrical: ① Check whether each limit switch is sensitive and reliable; ③ Check whether the actions of each electrical appliance in the electrical box are sensitive and reliable; ③ Check whether the electric motor, bell, and wires are safe and reliable; ④ Check if the signal lights are in good condition.
(9) Check whether the couplings of the bridge crane are loose or even have "rolling keys". Pay special attention to checking the elastic rubber ring of the elastic column pin coupling for abnormal wear, and pay special attention to the wear condition of the gear ring of the toothed coupling. Due to poor installation accuracy, when there is a significant offset between the two axes, the entire gear ring will quickly wear out in a short period of time. If such a situation occurs in the lifting mechanism, serious accidents are prone to occur.
