The YZ type metallurgical bridge crane has a wide range of applications and is safe and reliable. Widely used in indoor and outdoor warehouses, factories, docks, and open-air storage areas. Used for lifting molten iron into mixing furnaces, steelmaking furnaces, and lifting molten steel into continuous casting equipment or ingot molds. Compared with general cranes, it has the characteristics of frequent use, high adaptability to harsh environments, and high automation requirements.

The main trolley is used to lift buckets, while the auxiliary trolley is used to flip buckets and perform other auxiliary work. In order to expand the scope of use of the auxiliary hook and better serve the steelmaking process, the main and auxiliary hooks are respectively arranged on the main and auxiliary trolleys with independent trolley operating mechanisms, and run along their respective tracks. The commonly used structural forms include four beam four rail and four beam six rail.

Metallurgical bridge crane is one of the main production equipment in the smelting workshop. The crane is used in the converter workshop to pour the molten iron transported from the blast furnace workshop into the mixing furnace and directly repair the molten iron in the mixing furnace or from the blast furnace workshop into the converter. In the converter or open hearth workshop, this crane is used to continuously cast or supply steel ingots from the molten steel in the steelmaking furnace between spans. The crane is equipped with independently driven main and auxiliary trolleys. The main trolley is equipped with fixed spacing gantry hooks to lift and transport steel drums. The auxiliary trolley can be used for tipping over steel drums or performing other auxiliary lifting operations. The metallurgical bridge crane adopts a safe and reliable lifting mechanism, and can display the weight of the lifted object in the driver's cab and workshop. The machine adopts a closed type inclined rail beam, therefore, it has good vertical and horizontal rigidity.

Usage characteristics of YZ type metallurgical bridge crane

1. The environmental temperature used for metallurgical bridge cranes is higher than that of general environments, so all motors should be selected with H-class insulation.

2. All metallurgical bridge cranes are equipped with load limiters and have reliable alarm and restriction functions.

3. The lifting mechanism of the double beam crane is equipped with two sets of independent brakes, and each set of brakes should ensure that it can complete one working cycle in the event of a failure of the other set of brakes.

4. High temperature resistant steel wire rope with metal core is selected, and the coefficient matches the working level.

5. Rolled pulleys should be preferred, and the use of cast iron pulleys is prohibited.

6. For those using electric hoists as lifting mechanisms, the maximum lifting capacity should not exceed 10 tons and should have insulation protection function.

7. Double limiters with different forms of rising limit positions should be installed, and different circuit breakers should be controlled.

8. The lifting mechanism should have a forward and reverse contactor fault protection function to prevent the motor from losing power while the brake is still energized, leading to stall.

9. All electrical components should use high-temperature resistant products, and cables should also use high-temperature resistant cables. The protection level of the electrical control cabinet should meet relevant standard regulations.

10. Metallurgical bridge cranes should try to use remote control and other operation methods that are far away from heat sources, otherwise a passage for operators should be set up to ensure personnel safety.

Precautions for loading and unloading bridge cranes

The fixing of the winch is a guarantee for determining the lifting speed and safety, so it must be reliable and accurate (detection method: the angle between the running rope and the center of the drum is 90 degrees). In order to lift smoothly, two hand pulled hoists are used on both sides of the winch to prevent it from deviating and can be adjusted at any time.

When lifting the winch, a dedicated person should inspect and adjust the tightness of the brake to avoid burning the scales or fuses, which may cause the machine to stop working.

Two people should be prepared for each hoist during lifting to observe the movement of the hoist at any time. If there is deviation, the operator should accurately determine the direction of movement and make timely adjustments.

Before bundling the bridge crane during disassembly, scaffolding must be set up and sufficient space must be ensured to ensure the operating surface, as well as safety and reliability. The platform must have guardrails.
