Computer numerical control needle penetration tester, asphalt needle penetration tester

1、 Purpose:
The computerized asphalt penetration tester is designed and manufactured according to the requirements and relevant regulations of the Chinese standard GB/T4509 "Determination of Penetration of Petroleum Asphalt" and the Chinese transportation industry standard JTG E20-2011 "Test Code for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Engineering" - T0604 "Asphalt Penetration Test". It is mainly used for measuring asphalt. The sample is placed in a constant temperature bath at 25 ℃± 0.1 ℃, and a standard needle with a load of 100 grams ± 0.05 grams is vertically moved under friction. The depth of vertical penetration into the asphalt sample within 5 seconds is called the asphalt penetration test to identify the viscosity of asphalt. The greater the penetration of asphalt, the lower the viscosity of asphalt, and the softer the asphalt.

1. Needle timing control device: can be selected from 0-99 seconds, with a time error of less than ± 0.1 seconds.
2. Needle insertion depth device: precision displacement measurement device.
3. Needle insertion accuracy: ± 1 needle insertion degree.
4. Large needle penetration depth: 400 needle penetration degrees.
5. Thermostatic bath: It is a hard glass tank.
6. Standard needle: 2.5 ± 0.05g, in compliance with the specifications of GB/T4509 and T0604.
7. Lifting bracket: It can be freely adjusted to facilitate the alignment of the needle tip with the sample plane.

3、 Experimental Procedure Description

1. Heat and dissolve the pre dehydrated sample, with a heating temperature not exceeding 90 ℃ above the estimated softening point of the sample and a time not exceeding 30 minutes. Stir and sieve the sample before injecting it into the sample dish, with a depth of at least 10mm above the expected penetration value. Place it at room temperature of 15-30 ℃ for 1-1.5 hours (small sample dish) or 1.5-2 hours for large sample dish. During cooling, be careful not to let dust fall in.

2. Place the sample dish into a water tank filled with clean water and keep it warm for 1-1.5 hours (small sample dish) or 1.5-2 hours (large sample dish). The water temperature should be maintained at 25 ± 0.5 ℃, and the water level should be at least 25mm above the surface of the sample.

3. If the placement of the instrument changes, it needs to be readjusted horizontally.

4. According to the experimental requirements, install standard needles and counterweights. According to the flight chart, the test temperature is 25 ℃, the time is 5S, and the combined weight of the standard needle, needle connecting rod, and counterweight is 100 ± 0.05g.

5. Place the flat bottomed insulation dish on the instrument workbench and place the tripod in the flat bottomed insulation dish, centered. Prepare water with a temperature higher than 25 ℃ for injection into the insulation dish during testing.

4、 Instrument operation

(1) Press the "Menu" button to "① Drop Time Setting" to set the drop time.

(2) Adjust the height of the needle rod so that the sample comes into contact with the standard needle tip.

(3) Press the "Auto" button, the displacement sensor will automatically clear 0, and the needle and connecting rod will be automatically released and inserted into the sample. At the same time, the timer will start. Once the timer is up, it will automatically lock and display the depth value of the test needle inserted into the asphalt at this time.

(4) If testing, press the "confirm" button to confirm the test results.

(5) After pushing the needle up to the detection position by hand, the next experiment can be carried out.

(6) Change the sample to a different position, repeat the above steps, and perform the second and third measurements. After the third measurement, press the "Data" button to display the three measurement data and the average value on the display, and record the value.

(7) Press the "manual" button and the connecting rod will automatically release when pressed.
