1purpose

1. The rubber low-temperature brittleness testing machine is used by Cangzhou Zerui Testing Instrument Co., Ltd. to determine the highest temperature at which the vulcanized rubber sample fails under specified conditions due to impact, which is the brittleness temperature. It can be used to compare and evaluate the performance of non hard plastics and other elastic materials under low-temperature conditions. It can determine the brittleness temperature and low-temperature performance of vulcanized rubber with different rubber materials or formulations. Therefore, quality inspection of scientific research materials and their products, control of production processes, and other aspects are indispensable. This instrument is a newly developed compressor refrigeration equipment designed according to the national standard GB/T15256-1994 "Determination of low-temperature brittleness of vulcanized rubber (multi sample method)". This equipment adopts a cascade compressor refrigeration technology, utilizing the principle of thermal balance and circulating stirring to achieve automatic uniform cooling and constant temperature of the sample, fully meeting the temperature control indicators specified in the national standard GB/T229-94.

3、 Structural principle

3.1 This equipment consists of the refrigeration compressor main body, heating device, electronic control box, cooling tank, cooling medium circulation system, and other parts. After activating the refrigeration switch, the compressor starts working and the refrigeration system enters the official working state. The refrigeration compressor works continuously, and when it approaches the set temperature, the heating device in the cooling tank begins to provide heat proportionally to balance the excess cooling generated by the refrigeration system, achieving the goal of constant temperature. Stirring can continuously circulate the cooling medium in the cooling tank, resulting in uniform and consistent temperature.

3.3 Impact device

The radius of the impact head is 1.6 ± 0.1mm; during 3 impacts, the gap between the impact head and the sample holder is 6.4 ± 0.3mm; the distance between the centerline of the impact head and the sample holder is 8 ± 0.3mm.

4、 Usage method

4.1 Inject freezing medium (usually industrial ethanol) into the cold well, and the injection amount should ensure that the distance from the lower end of the clamp to the liquid level is 75 ± 10mm.

4.2 Connect the power supply, turn on the power switch, and the temperature controller will display a password input banner when clicking on the menu in the lower right corner. The factory password is 6 1s. After entering, set the temperature and soaking time

After setting the temperature and soaking time, click on the temperature control switch in the lower right corner, and the device will automatically run to the set temperature. When the temperature reaches the standard temperature, clamp the sample vertically on the clamp, not too tight or too loose, to prevent deformation or detachment of the sample. Open the cover of the cooling tank,

4.4 Press the impact start switch to start freezing the sample and start timing. The freezing time of the sample is specified as 5.0 ± 0.5min

4.5 When the set time is reached, the impactor automatically impacts the sample within half a second.

4.6 Remove the sample and bend it 180 ° in the direction of impact, carefully observing for any damage.

4.7 After impact (each sample is only allowed to be impacted once), if damage occurs, the temperature of the freezing medium should be increased. Otherwise, the temperature should be lowered and the test should continue.

Through repeated experiments, determine the minimum temperature at which at least two samples remain intact and the maximum temperature at which at least one sample fails. If the difference between these two results is no more than 1 ℃, the experiment is considered complete.

5Test Standard

5.1 Specifications

Type A strip specimen with a length of 25-40mm, a width of 6 ± 1mm, and a thickness of 2.0 ± 0.2mm

The A-type specimen can be prepared using another method, using only a double-sided parallel sharp blade cutting knife. After one punching, the strip specimen is cut into the specified length.

5.2 Requirements

The surface of the sample should be smooth, free of foreign objects and damage. The finished product should be polished and cut to the corresponding size.

6.1 During the experiment, the cooling cycle cannot be cut off, otherwise it will produce a non cooling effect.
