Planktonic microorganism sampling (bacterial sampler) is based on the principle of particle impact. The sampled air is pumped through the gap type plate of the sampler, and the collected air is sprayed and impacted into a uniformly rotating petri dish containing culture medium. The live microorganisms attached to the culture medium are cultured to form colonies and counted.
