The gas chromatography detection system utilizes the different distribution coefficients of each component in the gas phase and the stationary liquid-liquid phase of the sample. When the vaporized sample is carried into the chromatographic column by the carrier gas, the components are repeatedly distributed between the two phases. Due to the different adsorption or dissolution abilities of the stationary phase, the operating speeds of each component in the chromatographic column are different. The Six Major Systems of Gas Chromatography
