Methanol Trace Water Analyzer
Product Introduction
The water content in crude oil and organic matter is an important measurement indicator in the petrochemical industry. The usual measurement principles, such as specific gravity, microwave, shortwave absorption, traditional capacitance, etc., are difficult to achieve sensitivity below 1000ppm.In order to measure the trace water content in high-purity materials, a more sensitive measurement method is needed. Among all measurement methods, electricityCapacitive sensors have advantages in design flexibility, stability, signal-to-noise ratio, and system integration. The dielectric constant is 4.33, while the dielectric constant of pure water at room temperature is about 80, with a difference of more than 18 times. This is beneficial for calculating the equivalent dielectric constant of the mixture by measuring the capacitance, and thus calculating the water content. Although the current level of electronic technology can achieve a precision of 10-15 Faraday, it is difficult to obtain accurate results by measuring the dielectric constant due to differences in electrodes, wires, connectors, and long-term drift of electronic components. By utilizing the linear relationship between the loss factor and frequency of water within a certain frequency range, Correflow MFM 4000Ex uses a unique lock-in amplification technique to measure the magnitude and phase difference of the response signal at multiple excitation signal frequencies, thereby achieving simultaneous accuracyCalculate the equivalent dielectric constant and loss factor of the mixture, and calculate the moisture content through calibration curves at different temperatures.
In process pipelines, due to the uneven flow, traditional dual electrode designs cannot achieve uniform electric field distribution, resulting in measurement errors. The Correflow MFM sensor uses 8 electrodes and rapidly changes the electrode loaded with the excitation signal to rotate the electric field. By integrating the results of electric field measurements in various directions, more accurate measurement results can be obtained.
