Working Principle:
Near infrared online trace moisture analyzer is an instrument that uses the infrared absorption spectrum of water molecules as the principle, filters as the spectral element, and photoelectric sensors to convert light signals into electrical signals. Then, through data acquisition and processing, it is converted into a moisture percentage display. Water molecules are not stationary. The two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom bound in water molecules can undergo stretching and bending vibrations. When water molecules vibrate, they absorb energy in specific bands of electromagnetic waves, and the intensity of absorption varies depending on the wavelength. Some bands absorb exceptionally strongly, while others absorb very weakly. The hydrogen oxygen bond in these bands absorbs light in the infrared range of 1.90um to 1.98um more strongly. Due to the fact that the energy absorbed by water molecules in this spectral range is proportional to the content of water molecules, the amount of infrared absorbed can be calculated based on the returned infrared radiation to determine the moisture content of the measured material.
