Overview
The soil solution sampler is an instrument that continuously collects soil solution at a fixed location, consisting of a sampling head, a sampling bottle, and a sampling pump (as shown in Figure 1). Due to the fact that the water intake head can pass through multiple solutes, when the water intake head is buried in the soil, it can be located and timed to extract soil water/solution to monitor the changes in soil solutes. This method has been widely promoted in fields such as soil fertilizer research, soil pollution, water conservancy departments, and environmental monitoring.

Product Description of Soil Solution Sampler
Traditional soil solution sampling often involves on-site collection of soil samples and analysis using immersion solution method, which is labor-intensive and cannot accurately pinpoint the dynamic changes of solutes. The TN100R soil solution sampler is an instrument for continuously collecting soil solution at a fixed location, consisting of a sampling head, a sampling bottle, and a sampling pump (as shown in Figure 1).
Structure of Soil Solution Sampler Instrument

1. The upper opening of the water intake head is bonded with a 10mm protective head, and two stainless steel pipes are installed separately, with a sleeve added to the surface part.
2. Sampling bottle: The sampling bottle adopts a 500ml fine mouthed sample bottle, and the bottle mouth is sealed with a rubber stopper.
3. Water intake pump: When the water intake pump is connected to the sampling bottle and water intake head, the negative pressure inside the sampling bottle is adjusted to -30~-80KPA according to the soil moisture conditions.
Avoid the wall effect of rapid infiltration of water along hard pipes during rainfall or irrigation.

Technical indicators of soil solution sampler:
Equipment configuration includes water intake head, water extraction hose, air release hose, sampling bottle hose material hose
The standard length of the hose is 1.5m, and a 500ml sampling bottle can be customized according to the length

Advantages and Characteristics:
1. The soil solution sampler is equipped with two hoses on the water intake head, one of which is a vent pipe. When the water intake head and the sampling bottle are drawn to a certain negative pressure, the solution around the water intake head will enter the water intake head and the sampling bottle through the water intake head wall. When taking water, first open the vent pipe plug and release air to compress the water in the water intake head. All the water in the water intake head will enter the sampling bottle through the vent pipe to ensure that it will not mix with the next sampling.
2. The soil solution sampler adopts a flexible hose, and the hose buried in the soil can be bent to avoid the wall effect of rapid water infiltration along the hard pipe during rainfall or irrigation.
3. Easy to use, capable of continuous collection of solutions through fixed-point positioning.
4. A casing is added to the surface part where the water intake head is buried to avoid sun exposure and aging of the hose, thereby extending the service life of the soil solution sampler.

Note:
The length of time required for sampling the solution and the amount of water that can be extracted under what negative pressure are determined by the soil moisture content and soil hydraulic conductivity. Therefore, when the soil moisture is high, the required negative pressure is low and the extraction time is short. Conversely, when the soil moisture is low, the required negative pressure is high and the extraction time is long, even several days.
When cleaning the soil solution sampler, a syringe can be used to inject the cleaning solution into the clay tube. The syringe can be used to repeatedly pump the solution, then the contaminated liquid can be sucked out, and finally, water can be injected multiple times to clean it (there is no need to dig out the clay tube during cleaning)
