Mining communication cable: It is a communication line composed of multiple insulated wires or conductors twisted into a cable core and an outer sheath that protects the cable core from moisture and mechanical damage. Provided photos of communication cables. In particularly harsh environments, a protective layer can be installed outside the communication cable sheath if necessary.

Classification of Application Scenarios for Mining Communication Cables

If classified by application scenarios, communication cables can be further divided into the following three categories:

1. Long distance cable: It has a long transmission distance and is generally reused. Most of them are buried directly underground, and in some cases, it is installed overhead or in pipelines;

2. Urban cable: The wires inside the cable are paired in pairs, and there are many pairs. Generally installed in pipelines, a small amount of urban cables are attached to buildings or installed overhead;

3. Local cable: mainly refers to communication cables used in telecommunications offices, usually installed on distribution frames, and some are also installed in cable trays; Local cables are used between transmission equipment and switching equipment within telecommunications offices, as well as within other internal equipment. In order to prevent fire within the telecommunications bureau, it is sometimes necessary to add flame-retardant sheaths to the cables used by the bureau.

According to the above classification method, communication cables can be symmetrical cables or coaxial cables.

Mining communication cables can be symmetrical cables or coaxial cables.

1. Symmetric cable: A communication circuit composed of two symmetrically arranged wires. Divided into high frequency and low frequency. The former has a high transmission frequency of up to 800 kHz, corresponding to the ability to open 180 telephone channels in one loop; The latter's high transmission frequency is generally less than 252 kHz, which is equivalent to opening 60 telephone lines in one circuit. The electromagnetic field of symmetrical communication cables is in an open state, and the attenuation and loss of the circuit are large at high frequencies. The mutual interference between circuits and external interference are also large, making it difficult to increase the transmission frequency and capacity. Long distance symmetrical communication cables are composed of four wire groups with different quantities and insulation structures. The common form of four wire group is star twisted group, and some also use compound twisted group form. The insulation includes paper tape insulation, paper rope (paper tape and paper rope) insulation, polyethylene rope belt insulation, polystyrene rope belt insulation and foam polyethylene insulation. High frequency long-distance symmetrical communication cables have high transmission frequencies, so there are high requirements for the structural performance of the cables. Generally, a rope insulated star twisted four wire structure is used. Polystyrene and polyethylene are commonly used as insulation materials. Paper tape and rope insulation are generally used for low-frequency symmetrical communication cables below 252 kHz.

In order to improve the moisture resistance and stability of communication cables, comprehensive cable protection layers have been widely used in urban telephone cables since the 1970s. There are three basic types of it. ① Alpeth: Squeeze a layer of polyethylene protective layer outside the cable core, then wrap it longitudinally with 0.2mm aluminum tape, fill it with polyisoprene insulation composite, and apply a layer of thermoplastic adhesive layer on the outside. Squeeze a layer of polyethylene sheath on the outside. ② Stalpeth: Aluminum strip wrapped longitudinally with a layer of steel strip, covered with a layer of thermoplastic material, and then extruded with a layer of polyethylene sheath. ③ Lepeth: A layer of polyethylene sheath is wrapped around the cable core, and a layer of adhesive thermoplastic material is applied on the outside. A layer of lead pipe is extruded on the outside.

2. Coaxial cable: A communication circuit (coaxial pair) composed of two insulated coaxial inner and outer conductors, and then twisted together by one or more coaxial pairs. Coaxial cables are commonly used as long-distance communication trunk lines, enabling multi-channel carrier communication or transmitting television programs, as well as for transmitting data information. Two coaxial conductors are concentric, and there is no electromagnetic field outside the outer conductor. Therefore, the attenuation of transmission signals and the mutual interference between coaxial pairs are small, and the performance of resisting external interference is also higher than that of symmetrical cables;

The inner conductor of the coaxial pair in coaxial communication cables is copper, with a cylindrical cross-section and solid structure. To improve mechanical strength (such as when making submarine cables), bimetallic inner conductors with steel core copper outer layer are also used. The outer conductor is generally made of copper strip, and commonly used forms include wrinkled edge, indentation, locking tooth, etc. The outer conductor needs to have good flexibility, high stability, and simple processing technology. The insulation of coaxial inner and outer conductors should have low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss, as well as a certain mechanical strength to support the outer conductor and keep it concentric with the inner conductor.YCW-J Elevator Cable Report YC-J Rubber Jacketed CableYCW-J Elevator Cable Report YC-J Rubber Jacketed Cable

Mining communication cable structure:

1. Seemingly simple communication cables, if you carefully observe them by cutting open the cables, you will find that technicians have put in a lot of effort. Structurally, communication cables are generally divided into two main parts: cable cores and protective layers. And the protective layer can be divided into a sheath and an outer protective layer. The cable core is composed of insulated conductive wires and necessary shielding, filling, and binding tapes (wires). From the appearance, the cross-section of the cable core is generally circular;

2. The cable core is the main part responsible for information transmission. In order to protect the cable core from moisture, external mechanical damage, and electrical interference, a protective sheath is added to the outside of the cable core, and an additional protective layer is required if necessary;

3. At the beginning, people usually used lead as a sheath because lead is relatively soft, easy to manufacture and install, and can also provide moderate shielding effect. But the technicians ultimately chose aluminum. This is because lead is too heavy. Transportation is very difficult. Aluminum has better shielding effect than lead and is much lighter. Of course, everything has its pros and cons. Aluminum is relatively difficult to manufacture compared to lead and is susceptible to corrosion;

4. In dry environments, non-metallic polyethylene or polyethylene sheaths can also be used;

5. The communication cables laid underwater will use a steel wire armor outer protective layer, and an anti-corrosion layer needs to be added on top of the metal armor layer;

6. The body needs to be covered with a shielding layer and then twisted into a cable. The shielding layer is mostly a double-layer wrapped steel strip.

Classification of Mining Communication Cable Types

If classified according to the type of cable, communication cables are as follows: 1. Single wire: refers to the original communication cable, single wire loop, with the earth as the return line;

2. Symmetric cable: a circuit composed of two identical wires under ideal conditions;

3. Coaxial cable: A circuit is formed by two conductors, one inside and one outside, on the same axis. The outer conductor surrounds the inner conductor, while the two are insulated.
