The corrugated flame arrester for oil storage tanks is used to install important safety equipment on fixed top tanks. Its function is to allow flammable and explosive gases to pass through, and to prevent suffocation of flames. The flame arrester has a reasonable structure, light weight, corrosion resistance, and qualified explosion resistance performance. It has been tested for 13 consecutive subsonic flame tests and has been able to block fire every time. Easy to maintain, easy to install, no need to disassemble the breathing valve during inspection. The fire resistance performance is qualified, and there is no tempering phenomenon after 1 hour of fire resistance test. The flame arrester core is made of stainless steel material, which is corrosion-resistant and easy to clean. The shell water pressure test is qualified.

Working principle of ZG5-1 corrugated storage tank flame arrester

The main function of the corrugated flame arrester for storage tanks is to allow flammable and explosive gases to pass through, and to prevent suffocation of flames that enter the storage tank from the outside. Usually installed on storage tanks and pipelines that transport or discharge flammable and explosive gases, it is a safety device used to prevent flames of flammable gases and liquids and to prevent dangerous accidents caused by backfire. Its function is to allow flammable and explosive gases to pass through, and to prevent suffocation of flames.

The corrugated flame arrester for storage tanks adopts a stainless steel "N" shape, with double-layer corrugated bands as the flame arrester core, and a cross shaped bracket (or Y-shaped bracket pressed on the surface) inside the core to enhance its reliability and prevent the explosive pressure generated by the ignited medium from dissipating. Based on this principle, the height of the triangular hole is designed to prevent the flame from passing through, and sufficient channel length is added to absorb the heat of the flame, making it extinguish in the core and avoiding the possibility of gas reigniting at the other end of the core.

Scope of application of ZG5-1 corrugated storage tank flame arrester

This flame arrester is suitable for storage tanks, Class A with a flash point below 28 ℃, oil products, hydrogen oxygen liquefaction, and kerosene, diesel, toluene, crude oil, etc. with a flash point below 60 ℃. It can be used in conjunction with a breathing valve or as a standalone device on the ventilation pipes of internal floating roof oil tanks and underground oil tanks at gas stations.
